The Mixed Choir Technik Akademik / Brussels
Technik Akademik was established in 2005 by former members of mixed choir Technik led by Ing. Daniel Vopar – creator of this idea. The whole period of life of the choir creates and implements this vision and as chairman of the choir brings to the team amount of incredible energy, faith and devotion to a great idea to make good music and brings joy and enrichment not only themselves but also to others. Pavol Procházka is the conductor and artistic director of the choir. Under his leadership the choir performed a number of unique and very successful projects such as. EUROKOLEDY and EUROLKLORE that present the most famous Christmas carols and folk songs of all EU countries. The project VISEGRAD CAROLS was presented in collaboration with the orchestras from the Visegrad countries. Another was the project of hilarious Easter Music, which brought new magnificent sacred works Stabat Mater and Ecce lignum Crucis and later project Christmas music with beautiful Christmas music themes called Pastorale. The projects were created and arranged by Pavel Prochazka. The choir performed several international successful concerts and festivals as Praga Cantat 2005, Choir competition in Athens in 2007, Istanbul 2010, Verdi's choirs Trnava in 2011 together with the choir CANTICA (Z)NOVA and choir and orchestra of Slovak National Theatre Bratislava, Choir festival Montreux in 2012, Project Musica Sacra - Music Without Borders, Austria and many others. Technik Akademik belongs to the top of the amateur choral art, as evidenced by the cooperation with professional bodies such as Slovak National Theatre Bratislava, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra and other artists and bodies. The repertoire of the choir includes the pieces of famous domestic and foreign composers.
