State Secretaries discuss preparation of Presidency programme
Meeting for its 12th session on 28 April 2016, the Inter-Ministerial Coordination Council mainly discussed the preparation of the programme for Slovakia’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. The meeting was held as a working dinner for the State Secretaries of the individual ministries.
Work on the programme of the Slovak Presidency is now moving into the final stages. The discussions of the State Secretaries also focused on the informal meetings of ministers that are due to take place in Bratislava’s Reduta from as early as 6 July 2016.
“We’re now approaching the finishing line in our preparations for the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union. My colleagues and I discussed how to draw up a programme that will be straightforward and will aim squarely at current priorities with added value for citizens,” said Ivan Korčok, the Government Plenipotentiary for the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU and State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
