The cultural programme of the Slovak Presidency will be presented both in Slovakia and in all countries around the world where Slovakia has diplomatic missions. The programme comprises projects in the fields of music, dance, theatre, film and design. The cultural events are primarily coordinated by the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic along with its subordinate organisations and by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. Slovakia’s diplomatic missions and Slovak institutes abroad, in cooperation with their partner organisations, are engaged in the organisation of the events too. Also planned are cultural events that have been granted the patronage of the Slovak Presidency or have received support from its grant scheme. These events, which are organised by local governments, non-governmental organisations and schools, will increase the awareness of the general public about the Presidency and the European Union as such.
