The opening of the ‘Euro Fairy Tales’ visual arts project
Twenty-eight nursery schools from across Slovakia have teamed up with the European school in Brussels to paint and produce three-dimensional representations of 28 fairy tales typical of the individual EU member states. Each fairy tale playfully carries children from Slovakia and Brussels into the near and distant worlds of the European community. The EU gets a glimpse of Slovak cities and towns, while Slovak children learn more about the EU. This visual arts project aims to showcase the original vista and creative goings-on of Slovak and European children. The realisation of the idea to show the fine values produced by Slovak and European children is a joy to behold not only for children, artists, teachers and EU officials, but also for the public at large.
